to give is to gather...

///This past month has really been one of much travelling.  It has been exciting and inspiring.  The Western Cape beckoned me, then Port Elizabeth called my name, then King Williams-town wooed me and Namibia whispered to me to 'come along dear one'.  I responded to all of their invitations and am I glad I did.  Western Cape coloured me in and filled my belly with deserts, tarts and chocolate (more on that later), Port Elizabeth gave me a very important piece of paper that qualifies me as a textile designer, King Williams-town reminded me of the pearl friends in my life and Namibia helped me to find beauty in the ashes.  I will unpack all these places as time goes on...

While I was away in the Western Cape I was so inspired whilst going to all the sweet little pad stalls and quirky shops.  I collected yummies for a friend of mine at each place that I went.  I bought brown envelopes and drew pretty pictures on them so that the yummies would be wrapped in prettiness.  I made sure that there was a little package for each day(10 in total) that i was away.  It was around Easter time so most of them were filled with chocolate.  Whilst returning home I tried to meet up with my friend to set up a bit of a Easter egg hunt with all the yummy packages.  However it didn't quite materialise   He was busy, tired, etc.  After awhile a little gentle voice inside of me told me to eat them or maybe it was my love for chocolate that got the best of me.  Funny how whilst trying to bless someone we get covered in sweetness.  When we look to bless others we ourselves are blessed.  I was upset that I couldn't share the 'sweetness' with my friend but I realised that sometimes it is just as good to bless yourself.  I opened a envelope which stated-" I pray that today you are filled to your full".  I ate each and every packet, all 10.  I was filled to my full.  Just as we intend to give to others we position ourselves to be filled.

Position yourself to be filled.  Give without intention of getting back///

Love
Sarah***
