With the wind the white balloon did sway
for a moment it untied and was off and away
Up! up! and away it did go!
Into the distance -nice and slow...
But tied to a sinker it must be assured,
Its hope, its fragility secured...

i love protea's, felt, grass, veld, singing, writing, doodling, getting dressed up, candles, heels, stripy fabric, dotty fabric, old tape recorders, roller-skates, lanterns, chandeliers, waking up slowly, doily's, cupcakes, baking, children, stationery, colour, magazines, flowers, sitting on grass, mix&match crockery, lace, sexy underwear, hats, photography, recycling, granny prints, the smell of pie, coffee, the texture of sand, skateboards, the coolness of water, clean hands, creative mess, chocolate cake, head bands, mascara, the 1920's, high heels, friendship with God, vintage bicycles (with a basket), white fluffy bunnies, surfing for new blogs, getting new things, getting my hair cut, nail polish, grey, natural dyes, Hessian, seed cloth, calico, felt, rooibos tea, earl grey tea, chai tea, milk, cinnamon, light, text and a good story told with enthusiasm.

I love people even if they scare me at times. I love travelling, designing, dreaming, dreaming, dreaming and getting distracted by pretty things. I love things that are hand picked and hand made. i love trying new things. I like taking risks and being spontaneous.

I am a small town girl with a big heart.
