"shaken and stirred" part two

In the last post I shared with you my latest addiction, smoothie recipes! yum!

The brilliance of a smoothie is that you take a clump of nutritious produce and whizz them together. This way you get the best of both worlds: convienience and nutritious.

Today I met some amazing people. One being a homeless man who loves Jesus with his whole heart. Talk about a winning combination. People are great to meet cos each person ( whether Christian or not) has Gods finger prints all over them.

I had the absolute privilage of taking this man to the local grocery shop and told him he could have whatever he pleases. This man taught me so much today! When we were buying groceries I picked up a beef, lettuce, tomato sarmie and offered it to him, then he replied "no thanks. I'm fasting today and I don't know if it'll be right for tomorrow". His love for and dedication to Jesus warmed my heart. He is a king in Gods eyes. He can reign with Jesus. He can make important decisions. He doesn't have to worry about food cos he is a king in Gods eyes. The first will be last and the last first. I know I'll see him in heaven one day right close to Jesus' feet. Praising, adoring Him but before that ( in his words), " I will have a house one day with a wife and kids"...

Not only are my smoothies stirred and shaken, so is my heart!

ps If someone doesn't have a smile, give them yours!
Lets make this world a better place!
Lets bring heaven to earth!

'shaken & stirred'...

I like my drinks ( spinach and what not smoothies ) shaken and stirred.

You must try the combo:

low cal green tea juice
baby spinach
beetroot
rooibos tea
apples

(Lettuce turnip the beat by adding beet). Haha
but seriously beet tastes great in the mix. Pre cook it before you chuck it in.

Otherwise try this combo and vroom it up in the smoothie machine:

grated ginger
3 apples
low cal fruit juice mix and Liptons green tea (lite).
a pear
mint leaves

If you are wanting to loose weight then be sure to use low cal juice. It can be frustrating to be healthy (in hopes of losing) and really be drinking the carbs in a smoothie. You could have has the 4 slices of bread, carb wise. Generally we don't sit down to breakfast and eat 3 apples, a pear and fruit juice etc. Be aware of what you are putting in and what you are going to have of it. The fruits are sweet so it really tastes good anyway. Tried and tested by my friends.

The spinach is high in iron and mint is great to keep the breathe fresh!

Enjoy!
love,
Sarah
