a new day and so many expectations forecast the day
but i’v e chosen of late to allow the day to unfold as it may
to allow the goodness of unplanned happenings to lead the way
to allow my heart and feet to lead the way and my mind to stay at bay
sitting, dreaming and believing for a greater experience of yesterday
hoping and walking and allowing myself to play
just a few hours feels like an entire day
playing is as beautiful as a prayer
its done in all sincerity
and there is no familiarity
each time it is different and rare
let us play and let us pray
even to our teachers dismay
out of play comes great reward
it allows us to walk forward
let us play and let us have fun
let us dance and let us run
of all my concerns it is this
that we wouldn’t allow ourselves the risk
so let us risk and love again
without the comfort of running into den
let us be and let the past be
to risk, to love is great and free
