Words may be spare or words may be thrown around thickly,
Words may be thought through or spent quickly.
Words are said to be a reflection of the heart,
From the heart, soul, and through the lips, words part.
Is it possible that they can have no power at all?
Or is it the love and depth in which they befall.
None can judge the intentions of any mans heart,
But it takes trust and faith to allow them the power from lips to part.
Faith to allow them to part and allow them to penetrate into one’s soul,
Sometimes they bring refreshing and other times pain,
Sometimes words said irrationally are like a bullet wedged in only to leave a hole,
While others ,if allowed, bring the deepest joy and we will them to come again.
Words create and words confuse,
Words bring humour and words amuse
My prayer for those out there is that your words bring life,
That your tongue would bring direction and love in the middle of strife.
I pray that one by one we would love those who love us,
Treat them with love and respect, without all the fuss.
That we would love them the way we know how,
Not flattery or riff raff but genuine words from the heart.
That encouraging words would make us swoon, “WOW”
That we would love those out there, even the slut and tart.
