set your sails

There is nothing quite like the feeling and anticipation of waiting to see your garment appear on the ramp. The auditorium is buzzing, people are talking fashion, fans are clapping, yelling, shouting, some are whispering, some are laughing but all are there for the enjoyment of fashion, aesthetics and beauty. All are there to be inspired.

I have found that we get the most out of life when we are open to the endless opportunities of inspiration and joy, life and love. Every momment is an opportunity to love, to share, to delight. Why not? Why not celebrate life? Why not get the most out of it as we can?

the question "how much do you want to be sucessful?" is a question tjat has been troubling me greatly. "how much do you want to be sucessful?" We have power and energy to put effort into things that we do. We have the choice. We have the power. What will we do with it? We have all been given time, energy, money and talents. The question is how much do you want to use those things that you have to create a life that is sucessful. Maybe a better word is significant. How much do you want to create for yourself (and those you love) a significant life? One with meaning, purpose, rewards, treasures and experiences of deep joy and peace. Do we not all want this at our very core?

Yes i want to be significant and i want to create a life that will leave a legacy for my kids and my grand kids but fear is what cripples me at times. I sometimes think to myself "what if the ones that i love the most reject me because of my views or my wild and crazy idea's". This is something that I am trying to let go of and trust that they love the real me.

My encouragement is to bring in the anchor, set those sails and allow the wind to take you, take you to new horizons, new experiences, friendships and even if your sail does break or people throw tomatoes at your yacht at least you stayed on course. You were true to your calling, your purpose and your personality!

I have been so inspired of late by a newly made friend of mine. She inspires me with her openess to life and even to me! How treasured she is! I wish I could explain her to you all, i'm sure you would love her! but she is a dear secret to me. She touches such a deep place in my heart. Lets say she is the kind of person that i would write to without rubbing out what i said because i think she would gasp in disgrace or condemn me. She is the kind of friend where i will talk first without thinking knowing that she is accepting of me even my raw thoughts. Yes i am excited about this friendship. Yes i am.

Enjoy your friendships! treasure them! Live life! let go of old plains and waters. The journey ahead is exciting, full of rainbows and sunshine. It will be daunting at times, but exciting none the less!
