The revelation that "life is good" and "Rejoice in the Lord always" was accepted with glee a few weeks ago but since it has been rather a challenge to keep the revelation fresh in my mind.
2011 is one of those years when I sigh even thinking about it. I am very thankful that it is in the past and quite glad for it to stay there.
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... "HAPPY NEW YEARS". On being wished we all somehow think that everything is going to change. We are instantly going to want to exercise more, eat more healthy, spend time with God, family and friends, work harder, be a better mom\dad. But its not as easy as counting down from ten. The new year comes with challenges of its own. Personally I've moved to a bigger flat which is lovely but exhausting trying to unpack everything.
I must say I have had a great Christmas and a full time spent with family but coming back to PE I have been greeted a few times with my old friends, loneliness and self pity. I say greeted because they are not welcomed guests. When I realised they were knocking on my door this week I told them to go away and reminded myself that life is good and I can rejoice no matter the circumstance. Sometimes we need to give ourselves permission to have fun and not stress.
So... Maybe its been a great year so far or maybe it hasn't. Either way you are bound to face some sort of challenge or an unwanted visitor may come knocking on your door this year. When it does, remember you have a choice to invited him\them in or you can choose to rejoice despite the circumstances!
