Pink to red, red to pink

What do you think turns a girl into a woman?

2011 will always stand out to me because it was the year where I felt that I had grown into an adult. The minute my mom went into hospital I felt as if I was no longer a girl but I now had to fend as a responsible being. Regardless of what was happening in my personal life (dealing with a break up and an insensitive ex), I had to be selfless. This is a quality that has been taught to me by my own mother. Now it was her time to reap the rewards.

My hope is that every girl grows up to be a woman. From pink to red. A selfless woman. A woman who stands on her own two feet, not the feet of her friends. A girl learns a tremendous amount when she forgets about her own needs and wants and seeks to bless others. However my prayer goes further ,my prayer is for woman too, that they do not forget that girl deep inside of them. The girl who loves to giggle, mix her clothing, talk on the phone, play with her pets, dance and sing out loud on the top of her lungs! Red to pink.
