"Woman like to weave"

According to Jermaine from Flight of the Concords, woman like to weave and so here goes, my interest in weaving.

Oh I love how fibers are weaved in different ways to create patterns in fabric.

Some of my favourite weaves are houndstooth, herringbone and twill weave.

Herringbone is used in more than just fashion but in interior too.

Houndstooth can also be used in different forms:
You can weave with anything really ie: wood, leaves, ribbon, paper to name a few.

I love the diagonal lines that these weaves create because they are angular and vector shapes are very much in fashion at the moment. They also create movement and the eye is drawn up or down, which I think is great as sometimes plain fabrics can be just that-plain. Thought I would share some of my interests with you.
