After some thought I have come to the conclusion that these blog post's are reminders to myself. I hope that they do something for you, my readers, but I know that they help me as the writer to put thoughts into perspective.
This note shall be called 'keeping up with the Jones''
Growing up, my friends were considered 'rich' and my brothers and I grew up on a moms salary and a dad that supported us at times, so 'money did not grow on trees'. Although money seems to rule the world we as kids had just as much fun with the simple things like a grass and trees. However there was this underlying feeling of trying to keep up or to fit in. After many years I have come to the conclusion that my childhood was just as satisfying and money doesn't define happiness or love. Sometimes money is used to express love, but love itself is deeper and through the hardship of not having money, one can learn (if you dare) to love deeper and more richly.
So often we spend time wishing for a richer day instead of enjoying the richness right here and now and if we are always wishing then when are we enjoying? When is there time to be content?
I dare you to make time to just sit and be content. Thank God for everything you do have, instead of looking for what you don't. There is nothing wrong with wanting something more, but want after you have been grateful for what you already have.
Love,

The more you have the less you can enjoy it. Stuff clutters up life and suffocates you. I know I have a father that loves collecting things and hording STUFF and its all going to ruin and he no longer enjoys the small things. I remember not having much and at the same time knowing that we were richer than most. I strive to want less and own less and give more and more. Money is truly a blessing and a curse even in the bible "its harder for a rich man to enter through the gates of heaven that it is for a camel to go through the eye of a needle". Father help us to want to want less and to find richness in giving not only of our money but also of our time. DD
