somethings shouldn't go unchallenged.

'Stand for nothing, fall for anything' is a saying that has been pulling on my heart strings over the past few months. It is healthy, vital, essential for our wellbeing to have things that we will NOT accept and things that we will bear. Essentially it is about knowing ourselves well enough and knowing what is really important to us and what is not.

Over the week end someone tried to steal my little car. Just a fun fact for you: It has been stolen before. It didn't bug me at all. It hasn't consumed my mind and been eating at my brains. It didn't scare me nor frighten me. Theft and attempted theft is unacceptable and we SHOULD be able to lock our cars and return to them in the same condition. In South Africa we have become so nonchalant about theft and crime, but you know what it needs to be contested head on. We need to value our health, safety, security, peace enough to fight against crime, abuse, bullies, manipulators etc in order to bring about change. It may not bring me to tears, but it certainly should not be accepted, unchallenged.

'Stand for nothing, fall for anything'

Love,
SCG***
