My heart is where my treasure lies...

When soldiers went to war they would carry photo's of their loved one/s in their pocket.  This would inspire them to be brave and courageous.  It would give them a cause to fight for.  It would infuse hope and direction.  What do you carry in your purse or your wallet?

This past week being out of my beloved country I grabbed some coinage out of my purse for a cuppa joe and saw a Christmas note my twin had written me in his crude hand writing.  It was a simple string of words saying something like 'merry christmas my beautiful twin.  I pray that 2012 is your year'.  Yes im pretty sure it was written in small letters.  There are many things that are sentimental to me.  They are an expression of tender feelings that i have.  They are coloured with emotion.  Wrapped in affection.  Day in and day out I wear sentimental things and think of all the special people in my life.  Memories infuse hope for the future.  I think on all the memories that have been created and look on it with longing for more.

Enjoy each minute.  You never know when you are creating a memory.

God, the word of God and the souls of men are the only things that will out last this world.  Lets invest our time, energy and money into these things.  Enjoy your relationships.  Enjoy being yourself.  God made you the way you are so enjoy all that he has invested into you! He carries your photo in His wallet.  Your face inspires Him to pray and fight for you.

The other day my beautiful friend was visiting from Switzerland and her boyfriend had given her a leather necklace that was supposed to ward off danger.  I think people from oversea's really do think it is wild in Africa.  What spoke to me most about this gesture was not supposedly power of this necklace pouch thingie but the love with which it was given.

Whilst things of this world will perish and rust, the souls of men will last forever.  Lets invest in people.  Lets hold them dear in the purse of our hearts!

Love,
Sarah***
