putting all your eggs into one basket***

Hello chickens,

My momma always told me not to put all my eggs in one basket.  She didn't but I'm sure if I needed to be told that, she would've ;)

Caution is given to put all your time and energy into one plan or person.  So the notion then is to invest your time into various things and people.  Let me expand: too much of being an introvert will hinder us from personal growth.  One cannot just be a mother and not a lover.  Or if one is just a lover and not a friend we will lack intimacy and fun in daily routine.  To be a great lover friendship is really important.  We cannot have one and not the other.  Too much work and no rest will lead to burn out.  Too much work and no play will lead to a dull life.  Too much play and no work will lead to a unfulfilling life.  The list goes on.  There are so many roles that we juggle everyday.  Like an elephant walking on a tight rope, if we don't distribute our weight evenly we might just land on our head! For maximum fulfilment, satisfaction and purpose we need to ensure that our lives are balanced.

Those who are prone to depression may need tablets to balance out their hormones or may just need to incorporate exercise into their daily regime.  Life needs balance.  We need to create balance in our lives.  It takes effort and more concentration to ensure that each facet of one's life is recieving just what it needs than being one dimensional.

We all have been given lots of eggs.  We (alone) are responsible for our heart, body and mind and so we need to make sure that those egg's as such are put into the correct baskets where they will be invested and kept safe.

My encouragement is if you are a mom/a business wo/man, teacher, nurse etc , put time into yourself too.  Whatever you do, remember who you are and what you need to flourish.  Life is too short to do anything but flourish.

Lots of love,
Sarah***
