It all started last week Monday. 6 days before my birthday. I got a phone call from a family friend to say she's picking me up in 10 minutes. I jumped out of my jammies and into something casual.
She took me to a mall to a fancy pants shop to buy me leather boots. A shop that I never go into cos it's waaaay out of my league ;) hehe. She had eyed out a pair of long black boots for me. They weren't my first choice so I bargained with her for the pair in the pic below (left pair). She didn't budge and so bought me BOTH!
The plot thickens tho. Last year I had said to God that I don't mind what I do in 2013, just dump me in the middle of Africa with leather boots to kick up dust. Well I now have the boots. They are very similar to the boots I pictured: top stitched and they have buckles.
have a look at my blog post I wrote last year over here...
The plot thickens even more. This family friend that bought me the boots actually bought them with money that she had been paid out by a man on who's property she fell on. This man was the same man who partially funded my eldest brothers studies and gave him his first job. I have questioned God this year about why I haven't found a job when it has been so easy for others. Anyway back to this man. It was also this man who gave my twin brother thousands of rand in cash when he went to study. NOW this man has (indirectly) bought me boots! and not one! but TWO pairs of leather boots!
*my leather boots on the left.
A dress that was bought for me. I was telling all my friends about how black and white dresses are so in at the moment and lookie there, I now have one too!
This was so special. A friend of mine from a far posted me a parcel with various parcels within it. Each one of the smaller parcels had a gift (that was collected along travels), a note (that fitted the theme of the gift) and a origami figures. What a clever idea!
Some more special special presents for my birthday!
This one was from Zambia! If you know me, I love AFRICA! I hope to travel to every country in Africa in my life.
I love delft and I love bunnies so this was the perfect combination. Made in Delft.
