funny that you find so few men with balls these days...

I guess the title of this post is somewhat well...um  bold!  Yes it is! Before I tell you what this post is about I want to tell you what it is not about.  Firstly, it is not a biology lesson.  Phew! But more importantly it is not to shun/criticize men.  We all need men at some stage in our beautiful lives.  But what this post is about is encouraging men to be men.  One thing that a man is made to be is manly.  He is made to be a leader.  He is made to be the strong one.  But these days its just so darn difficult to find men who actually have balls.  By that I mean courage.  Men who fight.  Men who don't give up, regardless of the circumstances!

It is so great when a man stands up and takes the lead.  Families are meant to run with the man leading from the back by encouraging and shaping his family's lives in a positive way. Children grow up knowing their identity because they have fathers who speak life into it and they then lead lives that encourage the next generation and so the wonderful cycle can continue.  Much damage is done when this is not the case.  As a twenty-something year old I have seen men/boys who have had their heart broken and in turn break other peoples hearts by being vague and unstable.  God's plans are so much bigger than that.  The thing that eina's my heart is that these men know God.

When men are not being men, women then take on roles which were initially a mans job.  I guess as a woman it is difficult to be both a woman and think like a man.  Sometimes woman are forced into these positions.  But, it is too much effort.  It is difficult to continually be on guard  be protective, to be stable, to be logical on behalf of other people.
If my point still isn't coming through very clearly, here it is: men are made with unique characteristics.  Woman are too.  We both can succeed when we lovingly support eachother in the way in which we are made.  Woman are not made to be men.  Men not woman.  We each have our unique role to play and it is these contrasts that make it an extremely beautiful journey!

Enjoy being YOU!
and embrace what God has given you!

Love,
Sarah
