i heart you...

Hearts have become such a fashionable item both in home décor and fashion.
I see hearts everyday in all sorts of places.  In magazines, adverts, jewellery, on tee's, on jerseys, badges, screen savers and then lets not get talking about Valentines day.
There're all sorts of hearts (blue, green, gold, silver, turquoise, leather, fabric, pink, yellow, stone, marble, wood, glass etc etc) You get the point.

Maybe they remind us that the heart is central to all things?  That above all guard your heart? maybe that your heart is precious? Maybe they remind some to love?

A scripture that I absolutely adore at the moment is :

Ezekiel 36:26
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."

Its such a powerful verse.
Its a promise.
A promise that God is in control.
May you allow your heart to be in the safest hands possible, Gods.

I love the message version that says,
' I’ll give you a new heart, put a new spirit in you. I’ll remove the stone heart from your body and replace it with a heart that’s God-willed, not self-willed. I’ll put my Spirit in you and make it possible for you to do what I tell you and live by my commands. You’ll once again live in the land I gave your ancestors. You’ll be my people! I’ll be your God!'

I especially like the part that says "I'll remove the stone heart from your body and replace it with a heart that's God-willed, not self-willed."
All too often I have aspirations and God filled dreams that I am determined to do and be but I don't.  I fall short.  I love this promise that God is in control and He will make me God-willed not self-willed.

Amen.

May you allow your heart to be in the safest hands possible, Gods.

Love,
Sarah
