Teacher nobly and confidently reprimands the children by saying 'In this school we don't hit children'. All the while the teacher holds a stick in her hand with a bruised child in the corner.
Teachers reprimand children for hitting one another but they themselves hit the children. How is this fair? How can an older person (with greater strength and larger in size) hit someone smaller just because they are in a place of authority.
In observing this week I have noticed that the more the teacher hits and smacks the children the more the children hit one another.
This is unacceptable. Children should not wear the marks for teachers misuse of power.
Seeker of justice,
Sarah.
