Who said Christians weren't adventurers? I think it is a big misconception. Listen to David in the Psalms he cries out to God. He was a brave man! Psalm 139 vs 9 onwards he says " If I take the wings of the morning or dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 Even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me and the night shall be [the only] light about me, 12 Even the darkness hides nothing from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You.".
Despite the reality of the dark circumstances of his life, he knew that God was there admist it. That is faith and that is a man who is brave!
My favourite part is where it says, " the darkness and the light are both alike to You". There is no time or season that God is unable to penetrate, step in, intervene or stand up. Nothing scares him, in fact he is probally smiling over us now with love in His eyes! Here is a truth to digest (despite the dark time you may be going through), "God is in a good mood and He loves you!"
