Heart peace

I feel a blog post coming along...

We all have stresses and strains, either financially, emotionally, physically or maybe all three and more! Who do you cling to when things get turbulent? When things are out of control who do you think has the reigns?

Whether you believe in Jesus or not, I encourage you to read anyway...

After much reading, listening to personal stories and watching dvd's on the turbulent times in life I have gained perspective into it. So I thought I would share a little on it.

This morning I met a gorgeous couple who in fact run a small church from their home. They have two beautiful girls and the mom is 31 wks pregnant. After sharing to her small group last week that God can give you "heart peace" despite circumstances she went to meet her husband at the doctor to scan her forming baby.
In the process the doctor was happy to see that the baby was healthy until she scanned over the heart and went quiet. After a few moments she explained that there was something wrong with Zacks heart and that soon after birth Zack would have to have open heart surgery. Just a few minutes before the mom felt God say to her that Zack has "heart peace".

I was amazed at how they begun to speak faith into the situation. The dad explained to me that facts are subject to change and that the power of God supercedes facts. He went on to say that he gets the facts but he is trusting God for Zacks healing and Zacks "heart peace". My heart was so encouraged at this and will pray for Zack to grow into a strong man of God with a healthy heart from the day one!

I realised a few other things: when we are uncertain, fearful about the future we can look back and see how God has come through for us in the past. This will encourage us to go forward, knowing that God is faithful and his track record is perfect. How has God come through for u as you look back? Ask him to show you if you have no idea...

I am definately going to take this into my week. Firstly looking at Gods promises for my life and secondly seeing how he has provided for me in my past...

Have a faith filled week friends!!! ( despite the circumstances )
