Sometimes i wonder what our deepest question in our hearts is? Why do we question so much? What is the answer we are looking for? Daily we debate, persuade, argue, consider, weigh up, analyse and question. If we found answers to our questions, would that be enough or would we continue to seek and pursue? Maybe some of us are born with more questions than others. Maybe life has thrown us curve balls to which we have never understood and maybe never will.
Change is good. Change is risky. When considering to change something in our lives it comes with just as much fear, Ie: what happens if i hurt myself, maybe i'm being irrational? Maybe this time i shouldn't follow my gut? what happens if i follow my gut and i hurt one of my friends or family?
Being a creative person I enjoy taking risks and going with my gut feel. However this is not always the best option. Sometimes i stub my toe because i'm going to fast, get into relationships that are harmful or give too much of my time (at my own expense). It might be dangerous but i enjoy kicking fear in the face and going for it. Many times I go with my gut not having considered the pro's and con's and sometimes having considered some pro's and con's. At the end of the day all the decisions we make have an element of risk. Will we ever know everything about a topic? Even if we think we do, we are wrong! There are a million ways of looking at one given situation. So where is this post going? good question.
I think as long as we keep questioning things in life, life will always remain exciting, challenging and invigorating.
The next question I would like to pose is one of faith. Well because its either fear or faith that exist in our lives. Do we find the answers that we want or do we find truth as we need or as it is? is our perspective so shaped by our past and sin that we fail to see things as they are?
C. Tomlinson humbly states regarding his faith, "I have developed inch-deep beliefs about a mile-high God". So i ask, how much do we see? How much do we want to see about God, life, people, circumstances? A few paragraphs later he says, "it seems that when we encounter a hard truth about God, we either bend our understanding to Him or bend Him to our understanding". We all have different perspectives, my only concern is that it mustn't take from our life, but add to it.
Some of us are born with more questions than others...
