At midnight on July the 10th 2011, I nearly lost a beautiful lady (my mother) in a head on collision. With mothers day passing I an idea has risen in my mind to tribute a blog post to her life. Her life was nearly lost and it has reminded me to love her each and every moment that we are apart and together. People wait for funerals, birthdays and weddings to get together and celebrate life. This is not enough! Everyday, every moment we should celebrate people and this is why I want to write this post.
My brother, his wife and I were talking about my mom. My brother commented and said "Oh, mom is a machine! Sarah, if you can become like mom you will have achieved a lot". In those simple words came a huge challenge, to be like my mom. Let me describe my mom, my mom is kind, gentle, persevering, challenging, selfless, determined, confident, purposeful, celebrates people. When I've come to the end of my grace, love and kindness she challenges me to be kind and loving. She is never understanding of my lack of love. She always encourages me in who I am, she is a woman of faith (when there was no money, she still said I must study), she encourages me to pursue my dreams (at all costs), to love others and be kind. This is my mom. You will understand what a powerful woman she is if you ever have the privilege to meet her.
I can't wait to see God bless her here on earth as well as in heaven!

PS don't wait for your mom's birthday to love, hug, kiss her. Do it today. I nearly lost mine and every chance I get I hug, hold and kiss mine because I've been given a second chance! Do it! today!
