How do you carry yourself? Have you ever unexpectedly seen your posture reflected in a mirror and realised that indeed you do/don't carry yourself well.
Posture is something that has always been difficult for me to master. Being a fairly tall person I often bend down to feel engaged in the conversation but too much of this is not a good thing. My upper back muscles don't get used nearly enough, which has caused me to seek the chiropractor for help.
A few years ago a smiley friend of mine told me to look up more otherwise my 'crown' will fall off. I've often been reminded of this.
I believe that our thoughts and feelings are reflected in our body language. I have noticed myself leaning towards people that I enjoy and away from guys that I'm not interested in.
Positive thoughts about life and yourself can create such a good atmosphere in your own day as well as spilling out onto others. I believe that our posture is affected too. When we are inspired naturally, we look up. When we are down we often look to ourselves. Think of people in your lecture room, board meeting or at the mall what do you think is going on in their heads? I think you will be surprised as to how much you can tell just from someone's outward appearance and body language.
Elegance too starts in the mind and then is expressed by a confident walk, smile and wink. Diana Vreeland says it well, "The only real elegance is in the mind; if you've got that, the rest comes from it".
Today and tomorrow dare to think positive thoughts, walk with panache and have everyone guessing what is going on in your head.
