My African Mother, Viloet
Today especially I miss you
Its been a year since i told you face to face that I love you
The last thing I remember you doing was dancing with a smile on your face
My heart aches when I think of you, tears come easily
I never thought I would write to someone that is no longer with me but with you its real
I still imagine you in the house
Thank you for teaching me so much, how to draw, bead and sing
Thank you for being my African mother.
P.s I'm sorry this doesn't rhyme but sometimes whats real isn't pretty.
tomorrow i'm going to wear the headband that you made me in remembrance of you
I
Love
You.
Your daughter,
Sarah
