Do you create your own daily structure or do you prefer life to happen spontaneously?
I find it difficult to weigh up the what has been achieved when you are living a spontaneous life-because it all hingers on the amount of happiness that one feels rather than the number of boxes ticked.
This question stemmed from being frustrated by inefficiency, for example : I am in a bit of a rush to get to church and everyone seems to drive slowly in the fast lane. So many times I have thought of erecting my own posters saying stick to the left, pass on the right. Even the thought of it frustrates me. When I go to East London (which is closer to the Transkei) and I do shopping with my mom, people seem to be so inconsiderate and don't watch where they are going- this frustrates me so much.
When I go to university and the computer programs freeze every 10 minutes, takes 2 minutes to do something that should take 1 second, I want to pull my hair out. When my kitchen floor is dirty and I'm trying to put time and energy rather into my varsity work, it frustrates me.
The truth is that we all need order, even if we want to be spontaneous and creative. We need things to work efficiently and someone has got to do it. Sometimes it is you and sometimes we need to inspire it into others.
Whatever you do, do it with your whole heart. We all depend on one another to live in an efficient world! Go for it!
Much love,
SCG
