what does it take to be a gentleman?

It is a good sign to the beginning of marriage when a guy gets on his knee to propose. Humility and Service.

When you have been loved by a gentleman it is difficult to accept anything less. A gentleman's actions slowly have a way of convincing one that you are worthy, beautiful and loveable. And by gentlemen I'm not talking about the guy who dresses neatly and is cleanly shaven, I'm talking about the man that not only opens the door for you but offers help where ever he can.

Traits of a gentleman:

* Always has a hand to lend, whether it is carrying her parcels from the car, taking out the trash (honestly who wants to do that).

* Opens the car door for her. Offers to lift her (you didn't even need to ask) when her car is in for repairs.

* Offers to buy her a drink, offers to pay for the bill.

* Doesn't talk about himself the whole time when on a date

* Doesn't talk about money - especially on a date

* Holds her hand

* Kisses on the forehead

* Helps around the house

* Walks a lady to the car

* Listens

* Offers to make coffee

* Contacts in the morning to tell her that she is beautiful

* Is on time

* Considers her opinion when making a decision

* Still enjoys her even if she doesn't like him in the same way he likes her

* Offers a girl his jacket when it gets cold

* Offers his seat

* Knows how to converse with a granny or a mother

* Keeps a girl company when she is home alone

If this list wasn't enough, here is another:

To all the gents out there, toast! You are amazing! We appreciate you!

Yours sincerely,
SCG
