Eating an elephant one bite at a time...

Hello ladies and gents

If you had to eat an elephant (any animal meat is possible at the moment) , how would you do it? Surely one munch at a time? So it goes for when you have a dream or when you have a large amount of work to cover. You have to divide it up and start munching one bite at a time. Some plan needs to be put into place. Then time needs to be spent eating it, digesting it, eating it, digesting it, eating it, digesting it, eating it, digesting it_all 4 tonnes of it!

As mentioned in a previous post, an elephant is a symbol of a slow ascent to success. Success doesn't happen over night, for lasting success it is a slow ascent. In order to carry the responsibilities of a high profile job, one needs the character to match. Day by day we make decisions that ,hopefully, put us in good stead for our tomorrows. It is sometimes a slow process. But look from where you have come and let that inspire you!

When I was younger I was shy and couldn't make conversation with people, now a days there is not anyone who I am afraid to talk to. My communication skills may not be the best: I still have a lot to work on but I have improved with sharing my feelings. It all started with making a decision to be more outgoing and then pushing myself a little bit each time. I took it one step at a time.

If we take friendship for instance: "It is not a big thing, it is a million little things". As adults we don't just allow friends into our lives in one sudden moment but it takes time to build a friendship. Friendship and success take time and that is okay. If we look back we will see that we are further than we were 4 years ago.

So if there is a dream in your heart or a friendship that you long for, take one step at a time. What is the next step that you can take?

I DARE MYSELF:

* to do the little things to encourage friendships to grow
* to put time into my dreams
* make plans to make my dreams reachable
* to create

Love,
Sarah
