Methodist or Anglican trifle?

My gran adores her evening Amarula, yes she does! She is 87 years old and after recent operations hasn't lost her spunk. Just the other day one of her daughters was trying to make plans for her to travel to Cape Town, whether she should drive with her or my mom. My gran quickly interrupted by saying that she would just drive herself! For those of you who don't know she is a widow and Cape Town is rather far (1000kms) for an old lady. Two valid reasons why we DIDN'T let her drive alone. So two other points that I am making are that my gran enjoys her alcohol and she also still has her spunk, which leads me to my next story about her. She finds it funny to ask around Christmas time when the deserts are laid out if the trifle is Anglican or Methodist, because if it is Methodist then it most certainly won't have alcohol in and in that case she'll give it a skip.

However this post is not supposed to be about religion or about alcohol, it is about spunk and whether your imaginary trifel has a kick in it. Well, does it? Do the things you put your hand to have umph in it? do they have a kick?

Actually lets take this a step further, does your religion preferences give others a kick? do they push others forward? If you had to give others a helping of your religious trifle would they get a kick from it? I know that I want my trifle to give others a boost. I want to be passionate person and ignite passion within others. I want others to see my life and in response they want to take a step forward into their destiny. I want to help people move forward. I want others to be inspired by my life. I want to live inspired and that that would overflow into many other peoples lives thus giving them a kick!

I've learnt a lot from my gran; I've tasted her trifle. From tasting I've learnt how to believe, enjoy, embrace, imagine, dream, escape, to dress up and wear a hat darnit!

Here are the lyrics to a song that my mom dedicated to me at my 21st and what I live by :

"I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,
May you never take one single breath for granted,
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed,
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance... I hope you dance...

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance,
Never settle for the path of least resistance,
Livin' might mean takin' chances, but they're worth takin',
Lovin' might be a mistake, but it's worth makin',
Don't let some Hell bent heart leave you bitter,
When you come close to sellin' out reconsider,
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance,

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance... I hope you dance.
I hope you dance... I hope you dance.
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along,
Tell me who wants to look back on their years
and wonder where those years have gone.)

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance"

Friends, always keep believing, keep trusting, keep enjoying, keep creating!

Love,
Sarah
