I just want to tell you that you are incredibly loved by a Big God. I shouldn't say 'just' 'cos this is a massive statement that is loaded with power if one gasps the depth of that truth. You are loved. By a God that knows all your faults and all your strengths. He loves you. full stop. Every single day when you wake His love has already been awake, actually it never sleeps. God Himself is love and He watches you, lovingly. Not like some creap hovering over your bed.
Today I bumped into my sister (in law) at a local coffee shop and who was with her?... but my 3 month nephew, Mikey. He is also called little lion/leeutjie. They want him to grow up knowing both English and Afrikaans. That is besides the point. What I wanted to say is that this beautiful but helpless boy laps up the love. He absolutely adores any form of attention. If a stranger gives him a compliment, he smiles in delight. If we hug him or hold him, he smiles in delight. When he isn't being held he moans for some loving. This boy knows how to get attention and his attitude is sorta 'let the love linger around ME, of coarse'.
This is the attitude God wants us to have, as His children. He delights in giving us love and enjoys it so much when we lap it up and enjoy it. We are made for His affection after all. God loves loving you. You are the focus of His affection. He delights most in loving PEOPLE. Yes I'm sure He looks at the Elephants he has made and loves the size and majesty but it is really PEOPLE that He enjoys MOST. He is not that old cat lady or better yet the dog man. He loves you. He wants a relationship with you. If only you let Him.
This also leads me to my number 3 reason why I love this small town which is cos of the small people: Little leeu.
