small town girl with a big heart... reason no.1 why I love this place

Reason no.1 why I love this small town:

The idea of living in a small town doesn't appeal to me (at this stage in my life) when I'm a girl with a big heart, a lust for adventure, discovering new places and tastes.

However this is where I am (at this stage in my life) my big heart and all.  The two (a small town and a big heart) can merge into one.  God's plan for me (a small town) can be very different to the plan I have for me (a big city).

I have set out to find lovely things in this small town that will quench my thirst for big things.  I started with one easy (depending) way to make me happy, which is a  cup of good coffee.  By that I mean hand roasted coffee that is fresh and delicious.  It doesn't hurt when you get to have a quick chat to a friendly, smiling chap behind the counter too!  Let me introduce you to my friend, Patrick.

Day in and day out he doesn't fail to make me a yummy cuppa, which is a simple trait of a man after my own heart.  The saying goes, 'the way to a mans heart is through his stomach' but for me 'the way to Sarah's heart hingers on how well you make coffee'.  hehe...

Patrick works for hand made coffees which is supplied by a man by the name of Garvey.
They also have a loyalty card so after 9 cups you get the 10th one free, which works for me.  My love for this coffee has not only come at a R18 a shot price but another price which I will tell you about.  The thing is that I love this coffee so much that not even Wimpy, or corner cafes, Mugg n Bean, Kaui or Nescafe can compete.  So each and every time I go out for a cuppa with my friends I am reminded just how ugly the coffee is and this makes me disinterested in  going out for coffee, which I absolutely loved doing.  What I am saying is in my opinion this coffee is in a league of its own.

Wherever you are in the world I hope you find yourself a good cuppa and a good chat
