unabashedly bare with oneself

While wondering the beach I was pondering on life as I often do.
Pondering on space and freedom.  Pondering on the beauty that surrounds me.  Pondering on what I could be doing in my imaginary world.   I forgot about the imaginary for a second and fond myself in reality.  Sometimes reality is an even more beautiful place to be than in the imaginary.  Then I found these gorgeous rocks and thought about them too. I thought just how beautiful the hollows are in them.  How the hollows create such interest and intrigue.  I pondered on how this can relate to my own life or if at all.  I then thought just how beautiful it is when our lives bare all.  Not only the good.  Not only the perfect smooth parts but the hollows too.

Sometimes we try and cover up our warn out places with things (like this rock was covered with sand) or we can allow the light to cast beautiful shadows in these hollows.  It is a beautiful thing to be able to be honest with yourself.  I'm not talking about sharing your heart even with others but really with oneself.  Being able to look into your own heart and just be honest and  real with yourself.

So these are my unedited thoughts.  My thoughts that I lay out there in the sun.  Bare.  and beautiful.

May you be bare and vulnerable with yourself.
Let your beauty be.

love,
Sarah***
