I've got a good feeling!

Singing " oh oh oh... I've got a good feeling... Yeah" ... This song has often allowed for many respectable giggles in my family as my mom busts out singing these lyrics.
Talking about feelings I finished off my previous blog post still thinking and analyzing what I had written... " its too vague, general, wishy washy"... Then I started to think through what I was really trying to commuinicate. From what context was I speaking and for goodness sake to whom...

Not long after all these thoughts came rushing in I opened a magazine which spoke so clearly into what I have been trying to answer and articulate.

The truth is... I overthink things and according to the article I read I am not the only one. (enter sigh of relief). Over thinking things can become compulsive, ecessive and unhelpful. While we tend to think its responsible and noble to reflect on matters and circumstances perhaps we already have a gut feeling of whether to venture forth for example or stay in the bay.

This brings me back to my previous blogpost that is aimed at the over thinkers, the analysts, the compulsive rehashers. You are not alone in your plight to do things right ( what you may have taught to think is right). Research has shown that what the mind might rehash and rehash and rehash ( x a million) the gut has already figured out. Daniel Kahneman ( Noble prize winning psychologist) writes that our gut is actually our brain using info stored in memory to arrive at a conclusion at a much faster rate that we expect.

So essentially a gut feel could be owed more credit than it is given. Laura Day is an acclaimed author (of six books) believes that you're not manifesting your dreams by believing they'll happen-you're doing it by trusting that the answers to lifes quandaries are already within you".

So after over thinking a blogpost (like any writer would do) that was written in a spur of the moment I found the answers that were stored in my brain. Some of the answers -newly found, while some hidden there for awhile proving yet again that inspiration is within. Its stored within you. Perhaps locked up. Perhaps not. But let me not overthink this.

In closing I'd just like to reiterate that you are awesome! You are the most grand design because you are made by God. If I can leave you with any advice : free yourself and act on your gut!

love, Sarah xxx
