the one...

On Friday I met this lady (who had the similar hair cut as me so naturally I related to her) who is rather artsie-another reason we'd get a long.  As a single girl I love sourcing love stories.  These stories inspire me.  Remind me that people still meet their one.  Okay before I lose the umph of the punch line back to the story about the lady who I met.  She was doing an arty project for a competition and one of the guys in her group pulled out and so the other group members recommended she contact a guy via Facebook.  Lets call him John Smith.  So that she did.  Her message read (something like this)...

Hi John Smith,
I don't know if you are the one but if you are the one please would you let me know.
We're leaving for my farm at 2pm on Friday so we'll pick you up then.

He then replied saying (something like) I don't know if I am the one. Those are some strong words but yes I will be joining for the project at the farm.

Well couple of months later they tied the not...turns out he was the one.

Some people don't believe in finding the one (soul mate/partner).  They think there're many one's.  Regardless of your belief (as cheesy as this may sound) God is the one for you.  Your life may lack fulfilment if you haven't found the oneThe one true God, Jesus.  He'll never fail you.  Never let you down.  He's always there.  He is the one you can always rely on.

So, all this talk about the one has made me think about the one thing that is central to Christianity.  The one thing that everything we as Christians should aim to do and that is love.  If we are called to do just one thing, it would be to love.  God mirrored his love to us on by dieing on the cross.  He loved us first.  He loved us at our worst.  The one thing He emphasises for us to do?  is to love.  The one thing central to everything God did? love.

My prayer for you:

May you know that love is attracted to you.
Love loves you.
God loved you first.
May you know that you are loved.

Love in Christ,
Sarah.
