Ways to create wealth...

After reading the article that I posted on my Hers timeline I got thinking of ways to make money.  Not that I am a big shot at making money.  But throw a girl a bone! Or better...a cuppa of coffee!  The article kinda left me wanting more.  It wet my appetite but one can always have a second, third cuppa right?!  So I wrote my own method below.

WAYS TO CREATE WEALTH:
  • Use what you have.  Use what is seemingly free to make something that will cost someone else money.  For example you are skilled in tiling but haven't done it for some one else.  Go for it! Maybe you're great at flower arranging/on photoshop/book keeping then use those skills in your spare time to buy that jacket you've been eyeing out.
  • This point follows on from the last one.  Keep costs and expenses low.  Recycle if you can.  If you're still reading this post you obviously want to make a profit.  Then you need to keep your expenses to a minimum to ensure you make a profit.  The selling price of the item that you are producing must be greater than your cost price.  Start small by using what you have and slowly start building your business.  Starting a business from home is a good way to test your market, gain a following, get a name for yourself.
  • Do what you love & do it to the best of your ability.  So say you're stuck in a dead end job that you hate, use the time that you DO have to do what you love.  Spend time doing that thing.  Get into it! Go for it! Stretch yourself.  Challenge yourself.

  • Keep yourself busy.  Work when you can.  Perhaps you have a loooooooooong holiday? Use your time wisely.  When you do you'll appreciate your time off. Learn from other big/small businesses.  Ask them questions.  Glean as much as you can.  Learn from their successes and failures while serving them.

  • Value your time.  Just because something comes easily for you doesn't mean that it comes easily for everyone.  God has given everyone gifts and talents, so use yours! He has also given you the ability to create wealth.  Use what comes naturally to you to make money.  Offer your services to those around you.  If you're great with kids tell your friends, mom's friends that you'd be willing to baby sit the odd night.

  • Collaborate! Ask your friends and family to throw you a bone, put on the coffee machine or to lend a helping hand.  Truth is that if you're wanting to become a millionaire you have more chances of becoming one if you work for yourself.  So, if this is you then get people (you love) to help you achieve your dream.  Start small.  Your brother may be excellent at designing and drawing.  Ask him to do your logo.  It'll be great for him to get his work out there too!
  •  Communicate.  Don't be afraid to ask people for advice.  There're many successful people out there.  Many entrepeneurs who have rags to riches stories.  Most people like talking about themselves so go ahead and ask away!  They'll be full of inspiration, wisdom, advice & tips!  Also be open for feedback from customers.  Tell them to tell their friends & family if they were happy about their service.  Ask people what they want/need and can't find or come by easily.  Then match that to your skills or to someone that you knows skills.  Make connections with people. After all people are important and people know people who know other people!

and enjoy yourself!
Love,
aspiring entrepeneur
Sarah
