this is to my deceased maid who was like my mother,
can't wait to see you when i arrive in the 'forever'.
how i love you and i trust that you knew that,
you looked beautiful on saturday night with your traditional xhosa hat.
you were so excited the week coming up to the wedding,
you planned your outfit in advance and you looked stunning!
i will always remember you by the way you danced on your last night,
you danced as if no one was in sight.
you danced, you laughed and you said you felt like the queen,
i'm glad that you felt that way cos that's how you were seen.
i love you with all my heart and you still seem very much alive to me,
but i have to remind myself that you in a place far happier and free.
so many things i would like to say to you today,
but they were in my heart when you were around-even if they were at bay.
i love you, i love you, i love you and goodbye my dear Viloet,
i'll let you go like a kite into the wind gently and in the quiet.
