A few posts ago I spoke about how love is blind but today I'm talking about looking through 'love craze glasses'. I'm sure you've heard of the riddle about whether the glass half full or half empty? It goes that the optimist would say half FULL and the pessimist will say half EMPTY and then the opportunist would just drink the dam glass! An optimist wears an invisible set of glasses that see's everything in a positive light whereas a pessimist wears dark shade glasses and well if you are in love then you just don't see anything! ;)
What glasses are you wearing today?
Negative experiences can also taint the way in which we see things. Last night at church a girl testified about how she had been violated by two guys in her varsity days whilst walking home from a party. From that time on her relationships with guys took a toll. She sought revenge on the male race. So many girls have been broken up with and the whole of the male species has to deal with it, lets hope men are tough enough!
A heart break can distort our perception on love. An incident of abuse can scratch the lense that we are looking through everyday. A negative word can change the colour of our world. Is it fair to say that one incident can taint the way we see things for the rest of our lives. Look here, I'm not trying to dim the pain but what I am saying is that why should one incident make your entire life miserable? It can if we allow it. We can wear those dark shadey glasses for the rest of our lives if we chose, but I believe that there is a better way to live.
So what glasses are you wearing today regarding your future, your relationships, your career because of something that happened in the past? How do you see your current situation?
Today I want to put on some glasses on your face by telling you that the God of love is insanely in love with you! Everything that happens in your life is soaked in His love. How about putting on 'love craze glasses'? How about looking for the good surprises that God has put in your daily life? How about looking and seeing that He has always loved you. So put on your imaginary glasses and I'm sure that you will find even more of His love for you!
Don't you just love this jersey? I'm loving stars at the momment!
p.s this picture is not mine, unfortunately.
Love,
Sarah
